For a moment close your eyes and dive into your inner self. What do you feel? Perhaps you find a sense of calm, of peace, of fulfillment. That’s the essence of being happy, a state that transcends the turmoil of the outside world and is rooted in our deepest essence.

This week, we’ve delved into various stories to explore profound topics further. As part of our ongoing process, we immerse ourselves in selected subjects, gathering diverse perspectives, and then synthesize new content from these insights. The narratives we’ve recently shared with you are similarly inspired, drawing as much as we could from the wisdom found in texts such as the Yoga Vasishsta and writings by spiritual poets like Rumi, alongside other esteemed luminaries.

In our creative journey, we endeavor to weave together threads of wisdom from diverse sources, infusing our work with the essence of timeless teachings. Through reflection on the profound insights of spiritual literature and the enduring wisdom of revered figures, we aim to offer narratives that resonate deeply with our audience and inspire contemplation and growth.

Via our Podcasts and YouTube channel —featuring stories, shorts, and various forms of creative expression— we share insights gleaned from a myriad of sources. Our content remains attuned to current global events while being filtered through the essential perspectives of self-awareness and interconnectedness.

Aggression, stemming from primal instincts deeply ingrained in human nature, can take on multiple forms, each influenced by different underlying factors such as fear, ignorance, or insecurity.

One form of aggression is physical violence, where individuals resort to force or harm to assert dominance, defend themselves, or intimidate others. This type of aggression often arises from fear of physical harm or a perceived threat to one’s safety or well-being.

Another form is verbal aggression, characterized by hostile language, insults, or threats aimed at demeaning or belittling others. Verbal aggression can stem from feelings of insecurity or inadequacy, as individuals attempt to assert control or boost their own self-esteem by putting others down.

Psychological aggression involves manipulation, coercion, or emotional abuse intended to control or manipulate others. This form of aggression may result from a lack of empathy or understanding of others’ feelings, as well as deep-seated insecurities or unresolved psychological issues.

Social aggression, also known as relational aggression, involves actions aimed at damaging relationships, reputation, or social status. This form of aggression often arises from jealousy, envy, or a desire for social dominance, as individuals seek to undermine or sabotage others’ social connections or standing.

At its core, aggression arises from a perceived threat to one’s well-being, whether physical, emotional, or psychological.

We’ll dive deeper into the topic of aggression when we return. Don’t forget – subscribing gives you access to the full conversation, including discussions on how deep-rooted ignorance can manifest as aggression, both individually and in society, as well as early access to our Illuminating Life Podcast episodes, ad-free.

But first, let’s take a quick break.

War, as a culmination of collective aggression, emerges when people fail to address the underlying causes of conflict and instead resort to violence as a solution. While conflicts may arise from geopolitical tensions, economic disparities, or ideological differences, the root of warfare often lies in a lack of introspection and understanding. When individuals and societies neglect the pursuit of self-knowledge and empathy, they remain susceptible to manipulation and intolerance, fueling animosity and division. Thus, one path to preventing war is a commitment to introspection, empathy, and dialogue, fostering a deeper understanding of ourselves and others to transcend the cycle of aggression and conflict.
